Cambodia - Battambang part two

2013 December, The Long Trip - Cambodia, Battambang

After having good fun on the bamboo train our tuk tuk driver took us to The Well of Shadows.
It is an old temple where in 70th the Red Khmers changed it into prison and killed more than 10,000 people. Near the temple is a small memorial with bones and information about what happened there. The pig laying in the temple, as our driver told, has 5 legs and the owner left her here as it is a cursed one - would bring bad luck.
The second place we visited was Ek Phnom Temple - the entrance fee is 3 USD. The temple is destroyed and there are only stones and walls:-)
I met there 4 Polish guys with whom I shared my experience as they traveled a lot.
The last place we visited it was Phnom Sampea. Once they asked for a ticket, ours from Ek Phnom were valid here. Near the entrance there is a cave. Every day at 5:30 or 5:40 thousands of bats fly away. The show takes about 1 hour.
The temple is situated on the hill and quite fast children wanted to guide us and show us around. We did our best to avoid it:-)
This temple was under construction but it was worth climbing there.
There are two hills, both with temples.
We arrived at our hostel and went to the town to eat something.
