2014 January, The Long Trip - Myanmar, Taunggyi to Inle Lake
It's easy to get from Taunggyi to Inle Lake. Pick ups run every hour or once full. The price is 1,000 MMK (1 USD) one way and it takes around 1 hour. They stop in Nyaungshwe from where you can hire a boat. The place from where pick ups start is hard to find but with the help of local people we found our way. The place is hidden near the new market.
The way back is much easier as you need to wait on the main road and stop the pick up.
When we arrived, government guys asked for a entrance fee which is 10 USD or 10,000 MMK - the ticket is valid for 5 days.
