Szymbark
Szymbark is a village in Kashubia region near Gdansk probably you would never hear about this place. Now it is famous because of an upside down house.
Kashubia is one of the most amazing parts in Poland called ‘Small Switzerland’ because you will find here many hills, lakes and forests. Many people who visit Kashubia are fascinated by its beauty, richness and variability of the landscape.
The famous Szymbark has the Education and Region Promotion Centre inside which you will find many different kinds of attraction.
I decided to go there in December 2009 I had been there before but always there were many tourists. December was not so busy. In summer you need to have all day because sometimes you need to wait in a queue to some attractions for almost 2 or 3 hours. In Winter I spent there about 4 hours.
Firstly, I visited few old reconstructed buildings like Scout’s House, the Polish Manor House, the Kashubian Cotage. Then I visited the place where is the longest plank 36 meters long and 83 cm wide.

What was important for me, was to have time to visit an upside down house.
The house looks really crazy and it is possible to go inside but you need to careful because when you are walking on a ceiling you could hit your head with a table or a bed.
You are walking and watching how it is made and then you feel something painful because the lamp was too close to your legs. The impression is incredible.
There is a Siberian Deportee House – a wooden house transported form Irkuck inside which you will find all history about Polish people deported to Siberia and all sad stories from the Second World War.
I was in Gryf Pomosrki Bunker – it is a replica of a bunker of the Secret Military Organisation of Gryf Pomorski during the Second World War.
There is an Adventure Park open in summer time with 3 different rope courses.
