8th October Galapagos Santa Cruz

This day we decided to buy a half day tour. We have our agency where we book all our cruises. Unfortunately, all morning trips were booked. We took the afternoon one.
Our morning time we spent on the beach and in shops.

Before 2pm we were in the office to collect wetsuits. 11 people were on this trip. Our local guide didn't have any kind of shoes so he walked barefoot.

The first place was the Las Grietas. We get there by a taxi to the Eco Hotel Finch Bay and we walked to this canyon with water. The distance wasn't so long and at the end we had time to swim there. The water was incrediblly clear and warm - comparing to the open sea. There were 5 big fish and a lot off small ones.

The next stop was near a small island called 'Punta NuEez' where is a sea lion reserve. We played with this amazing animals. It was fantastic experience and they welcomed us and when we jumped into water they swam close to us.

The last stop was on 'Playa de los Perros' There is a tunnel where sharks and rays rest. We saw few sharks from a pedestrian way and rays too.
Of course, it was really hard to take a picture of them.

We were back after 5. We walked to the non tourist part of the city and on Paul Carrasco street we found cheap local food. A lot of local people eat there so we also tried.
It was a big fried dumpling with chicken for $1.

Tomorrow in the afternoon we have our flights to Peru.
