13th October Peru (Cuzco)

We thought that we would sleep till 9am or 10am. Unfortunately,we woke up before 5 am and we said that we were crazy so we went back to bed. Once more, we woke up before 7am and it was hard to fall asleep again so we started to prepare for the day.

Cuzco is a city situated 3470 meters above the sea level. We felt ok. Weather was fantastic, a sunny day gave us power to explore the city.
We went to the cathedral - during the mass it is for free but you can't walk around and no photos allowed. The entrance fee after 11am is 25 soles.
The streets are full of people selling everything, dogs. What surprised me, there were a lot of small shops offering fake clothes of brands like The North Face. We went to the local restaurant 'La Chomba' on the Tullumayo Street where I tried a guinea pig 'cuy'. A half of it costs 28 soles. The restaurant served local food and had a specific local atmosphere.

At 1:30 we took a taxi from 'Plaza de Armas' to the airport which cost 8 soles.

At the airport we started our way to Easter Island.
