Outside of the town of Paola, on the south, there is the Addolorata Cemetery.

This cemetery is open every day from the 7 am till 5 pm.
It was designed by Emanuele Luigi Galizia and opened in May 1869. As it is a main Roman Catholic cemetery in Malta, there are several thousand burials.
