The King birthday and Patong bay

The 5th December is a special day for Thai people. It is their King's Birthday. If you offend the king you will go to the jail. That's why all protests in Bangkok stopped to celebrate it. Patong Bay is a perfect destination near Phuket. All day tour go via Patong. There is a lot of restaurants, shops, accommodation and there is a long beach too. The bus stop is located near the beach and it costs 30 THB (less than 1e) from Phuket.On the main street, near the beach a huge and colourful parade took place. All hotels and resorts sent staff to take part in it. The same kind of parade was in Phuket too.
