Playa Ancon

Dla amatorów pływania z fajką godną uwagi będą okolice plaży Ancon. 1-2 plaże wcześniej, w wodach o kamienistym dnie oglądać można wiele kolorowych ryb. Dużo ciekawszą, choć nieco droższą zabawą jest wypłynięcie łódką na pobliską rafę koralową. Koszt za 1 godz. to 10 CUC. Łódka jednorazowo zabiera 8-10 osób. Formalności załatwić można w niepozornej budce około 200m przed hotelem na końcu Playa Ancon. Pierwszy rejs na rafę jest o 10 rano a ostatni o 16. Rafa a właściwie jej pozostałości nadal kryją wiele gatunków ryb, takich jak Parot Fish,Gruper, Banded Butterflyfish, Foureye Butterflyfish, Sergeant Majorfish i wiele innych.
Taksówka z Trinidadu kosztuje ok 5 CUC za osobę, ale można próbować na stopa - nam się udało. Podobno jeżdżą też autobusy, ale nie złapaliśmy żadnego.

Kecil - snorkeling short trip

2014 February, The Long Trip - Malaysia, short trip snorkeling on Kecil Island

This time I went for a short trip as I didn't like long breaks I had in the village or on the beach last time. That time visibility of water was better and I could have seen more. Once more the coral garden was superb. A lot of different fish, one turtle and many corals. The shark point was also incredibly good. Once more, I saw sharks but from a big distance. I would love to spend more time there and I noticed I could access it from a beach. All 3 places were located on Besar. I spent long time with turtles. We were late there so there was almost no one there. It was amazing to see a turtle going up for a oxygen. The trip finished at 3 pm and I had time to snorkel near the coral bay.

Kecil - snorkeling long trip

2014 February, The Long Trip - Malaysia, Snorkeling

It was a good idea that trips start at 10:00 am as I had time for breakfast without hurry. Those trips included a visit to the Coral Garden, the Shark Point, the Turtle Point, the Fishing village for lunch, the lighthouse and the Romantic Beach. The trip cost from 30 till 35 MYR (6.60 - 7.70e).
On that day water wasn't so clear and there was a lot of jellyfish. I had a T-shirt and I was fine but some people were afraid of them. The Coral Garden was amazing with a lot of fish and corals. I spotted a lot of anemonefish. The next point was the shark point with black tipped sharks. I saw one but the water wasn't so clear and he was about 10 m. from me. The turtle point was crazy as we were following other boat and chasing one turtle. Lunch time was an hour break in the village and the lunch wasn't included in the trip - some people were surprised. The lighthouse was a place where everybody could jump into the water or just swim and see the corals. Unfortunately, the current was very strong. The last point was the Romantic Beach with amazing corals.
