Summary of my Long Trip

2014, May The Long Trip - THE END

This is the end. Almost 2 months passed from the day I finished my trip. I must say I did what I planned to do. Now I wanted to present a short movie summing it up. My trip started in September 2013 in New Zeeland. Afterwards, I visited China, South Korea, Japan, Palau, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Myanmar, Malaysia, Sri Lanka and Australia which took almost 6 months. I spent an amazing time and met a lot of incredible people. Some of my adventures can be founded on my blog.
Enjoy the movie! I need to find a new destination - any idea?

Crocodile Farm in Puerto Princesa

2013 November, The Long Trip - Philippines, the Crocodile Farm

Slowly, slowly my amazing time in Philippines comes to an end.
My way back to Puerto Princesa was longer, it took me almost 7 hours. The following day I visited the Crocodile Farm. Many buses, tricycles and Jeepneys offer a trip there but they ask for 400 PHP - sometimes less.
The cheapest option to get there is to take Jeepney to IRAWAN, the driver will stop at the farm's gate. One way costs 20 PHP. On the way back you can stop another bus coming back to the city. I did it and it was quite quick and easy. Jeepneys start from the main street in Puerto Princesa. An entrance fee to the Crocodile Farm is 40 PHP and I spent there almost 2 hours. They keep crocodiles in very small containers in a quite small room. The rest is a large garden with endemic animals.

I spent some time on one busy crossing to make a movie.

El Nido - Kayaking

2013 November, The Long Trip - Philippines, El Nido Kayaking

That day I decided to rent a kayak for a half a day. There are a few places where you can rent it. The difference is price and quality of the kayak.
Mine was the cheapest one. I rented it from a restaurant at the corner. The owner is Danish guy and the price was 250 PHP for a half day. I did a trip to one peninsula where I found a great spot for snorkeling. Once more, I saw anemone fish. That time I dived close to them. My kayak wasn't perfect but it was fine for me. That evening I spent in El Nido relaxing and enjoying my last day here.
The weather changed and it started raining. It was time to walk to Corong Corong - 25 minutes.

El Nido from 6:00am till 2:00pm no electricity - only generator if want watching TV

El Nido Island hopping

2013 November, The Long Trip - Philippines, El Nido

I didn't book any tour in advance. I' just went to El Nido before 9 am and asked if they had any tour available. They did so I booked a tour C. Extra charge 6% for credit card payments.

They told me that it would have been a snorkeling tour. Afterwards, I wasn't sure. Stops were at Helicopter Island (snorkeling), Matinlock Shrine, Star Beach (snorkeling), Secret Beach and Hidden Beach.

Firstly, we went to the Helicopter Island. On the northern site we had our time for snorkeling. It was a place worth seeing, a lot of fish. The stop was 30 minutes long but it was enough as the place was crowded. Next stop was at the Matinlock Shrine with an abandoned 'house' which for me was more like a hotel building not a house. We only visited this place, no snorkeling. Inside I found many religious artefacts. We snorkelled nearby the Star Beach. It was an amazing place. Unfortunately, water was full of a lot of small jellyfish and it wasn't pleasant to snorkel. Despite it, the views were breathtaking. I saw an anemone fish 'NEMO' and a lot of different species. We had also a delicious lunch there. The last two stops were at the Secret Beach where we swam via a tunnel to a crowded place and the last place was at the Hidden Beach which wasn't a perfect place for snorkeling but I saw a hidden sting ray.
