Phi Phi Islands

2014 January, The Long Trip - Thailand, Phi Phi

I booked a snorkeling trip to Phi Phi islands. I did it with one diving company as they should visit better spots than a normal trip. I paid directly 1,000.00 THB (22.20e). The trip started from AoNang. The way was quite long and it took us almost 2 hours to get there but it was worth it. I met a nice couple from Russia and I managed to swim just above diving guys. It was fun when the oxygen bubbles were going up neary. I saw some amazing star fish, parrot fish and many more. We also had a lunch on the boat, snacks and drinks.

Banana Beach -Thailand

2013 December, The Long Trip - Thailand

The Banana Beach is one of the places for locals. Slowly, slowly tourists started visiting it but it wasn't as crowded as the others.
People visited it mostly by boats. I rented a scooter. The beach is near the airport. Around 3 km before the airport there is a big 'T' junction where you need to turn left towards the Naithon Beach. Then, go straight until you pass the Andaman White Beach Resort. Afterwards, drive 500 meters up to 1 km more until you see a sign on your right hand side and a lot of parked scooters.
Before the airport there are pineapple fields. A small fruit costs 10 THB (0.25e), ready to eat (peeled one) 20 THB (0.5e).

Good snorkeling spots are both sides of the beach. For half a day a sunbed costs 100 THB (1.2e) . There is a small bar too but the prices are higher than normal. :)
